Our Director, Sharon Timek completed studies at the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in 1978. She is certified by the American Montessori Society and licensed by the State of Connecticut as a qualified director of a preschool.
Prior to opening the Montessori School of Madison in 1986, she served as Co- Founder/Director, Teacher and Administrator at the Children's House of Montessori in New Haven for seven years.
Antonia Platt completed studies at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education in New York in 1985 and is certified by the American Montessori Society. She has been with the school since it's inception.
Robin Matterfis completed studies at Northeast Montessori Institute in Massachusetts in 2004 and is certified by the American Montessori Society. She is also the Administrative Assistant and has been employed with the school since 2001.
Assistants and Volunteers are chosen according to their knowledge of Early Childhood Education, nurturing qualities and love of children. Students completing internships from AMS Teacher Training Centers may also be in the classroom.
